What is ZizBang?

ZizBang is the place for people to share their thoughts and experiences about people and places on the web. ZizBang protects members by giving them a voice to expose dishonesty, voice dissatisfaction, and reward fair and honest treatment.  Our rating system allows people to collectively determine the best and worst sites and people on the web, which we hope will help bring more integrity to the web by more quickly spreading the word about great websites and people and reduce the number (and effectiveness) of bad websites (including web retailers).

How do we do this? The reviews and ratings on ZizBang are submitted by our members. Each rating gets averaged in with other ratings for that website or that person's profile. When other members visit that website or that person’s profile, they’ll see the average rating in our toolbar. They can also click on the See Reviews button on the toolbar to read all the reviews and see all the ratings for that website or person.

Once a review is submitted, other people see it and can vote for it (helpful), against it (lame), or bogus (fake review). If your review nets the most thumbs up, it’ll be at the top of all the reviews on our home page and also at the top when others search for reviews for that person or website. Finally, you can also enter search terms to find the highest rated websites for your search terms and read reviews about them. Unlike the search engines, you'll be able to see what others have said about the sites in your search results and you won't get those fake sites (parked domains) that list a bunch of other sites. Who’s behind ZizBang?

Other than our members, the site was developed by just a few developers. After getting ripped off by a local contractor, meeting some dishonest people on the dating sites, and reading some of the most arrogant profiles imaginable, the concept for the ZizBang was spawned.
